Round and Round

The merry-go-round continues......in the car on the way to camp this morning....

Jake: Mommy. Can I ask you some questions?

Me: Of course. Anytime.

Jake: Like right now. I need to ask you some things right now.

Me: Sure. What's up. Is everything ok?

Jake: What's the ocean that borders the northern part Russia?

Me: That's your question?!? The answer is the Arctic Ocean.

The questions continued....and luckily I knew the answers.....not quite the heart-to-heart I was expecting though!

Don't you wonder what is going through their heads sometimes, that at his age he is wondering what ocean borders Russia on the north?!?! Good for you knowing the answer - a whole lot wouldn't, you know! American's general knowledge of geography is pretty sad, actually. Glad you are doing your part to increase our future generations' knowledge!

Lucky! You had the answers!!

More than half the time I don't have them to G's questions! That's when I think what did parents do before google?!?

Thats awesome that you knew the answers...I totally would have failed! I opt for 'we can google it' to which we spend the next few hours surfing online 'educating' ourselves.
Ah..the joys of being young again! :P

Fortunately, as the questions get harder, they think their parents are less and less smart, so they go to Google, instead, heehee.

Impressive, I would have no idea. Thank goodness my son hasn't starting asking those questions!
