I needed a break and I took one. Alrighty then, clapping hands.....moving on.
May was INSANE!! Do you really want an update? Nah.....I'll just bore you with random updates when I really feel like it. :)
Right now, I'm just about ready to send my kids off to summer camp somewhere. Anywhere. I don't really care. Of course you know I am 80% kidding and in all honesty it is not really their fault.
Mother Nature has been PMSing now for like 5 months and she needs to get medicated NOW. All spring she messed with us, here in STL. One day we would have snow, then 80 degrees, then freezing rain, then 50s. Nothing the same two freaking days in a row. Bad Spring.
Now, it has been raining All. The. Flipping. Time. and when it is hasn't been raining, it is like 75-80 slightly overcast and no where near warm enough to go to the pool up the street. We are struggling here.....This is what we do to entertain ourselves the days I am home!
The kids really don't even want to be home with me anymore....how sad is that? Perhaps my month off of blogging etc. and really "plugging in" with them made them sick of me! Ha! Jake actually cried one night because he said it was too hard of a choice, he wanted to go to camp 5 days a week, but he also wanted to be home with me 2 days a week, but he REALLY wanted to go to camp 5 days a week all summer because it was much more fun!
If I hear "I'm bored" and "This is a bad day" one more time.......I just might have to show them what my summer days were like without computers, DVDs, ipods, Nickelodeon, video games, etc!
Wait! Who would that be punishing?
I'm so random.

I know your feeling about the weather. This is driving me crazy. We swam all weekend but I was freezing cold!
On one hand I'm afraid summer will fly by, on the other it already seems like Maeve has been off school forever. I'm sure by August we'll all be ready to get back to school and away from each other.
Glad to see you back. I missed you. I think Monkey is sick of me too. That year of homeschooling did him in! LOL!
Missouri weather sucketh....Big Time!
I know right! I'm already sick of summer and I think my kids are too.
Even though, as I type this we are at the Lake of the Ozarks on vacation. Supposed to be having fun. But it doesn't feel like a fun summer. Just a hot one.
So glad you are back. - Summers can be so hard yet I look forward to them every year hoping for the best. There's the good and the bad and even the real ugly on some days.
It's raining here constantly too. The most obnoxious part is that all my patients obsess over it and let me know exactly which counties have the t-storm or tornado watches/warnings. Trust me, the state ran mental hospital is one of the sturdiest buildings in the state! ;)
I was wondering if you might be willing to mention my raffle/fundraiser. I would NOT ask if it wasn't for a great cause. Plus, there are over 90 donated prizes to win totaling over $3000.00! And who doesn't like to win??
It's really a win-win for everyone. People get to help me meet my fundraising goal AND potentionally win big.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE clickover and enter my raffle!! You can truly win TONS OF PRIZES (totaling over $3000.00 - gift cards, Starbucks coffee maker, $600 in camping equipment, gorgeous jewelry and more!).
It's for a great cause….

Welcome back! We've missed you.
I hear you on Spring. It's really been wonky this year. We've had rain every.single.day and temps below 65-70 for 2 weeks straight.
It's not fair to have cabin fever when it's not even winter!
Just a comment, I'm not trying to sound "know it all" but I find that having the DVD's, computer, TV stuff makes my kids grouchy and annoying. If I turn all that stuff off and shoo them out or give them a pile of blankets and chairs to build tents or ships or whatnots with, they are much much much much happier.
Sedate entertainment just doesn't seem to work.
Good luck. Being around the kids can work.
Glad to see you are back. I am with you on the weather. It is DREADFUL!!! Most of my maternity clothes are for summer, not made for 50 degree rainy days! I am rotating the same 3 outfits and running out of things to do to keep Z busy. I had to stop checking weather.com because the 10 day forecast was depressing me. I hope we don't have a repeat of last summer..it was miserable in New England! hang in there :)
Oh I can laugh at this one - hahahahahaha! I swear you must be writing my life story...weather - flipping crazy! Kids - they are in summer camp at the Y which my daughter totally loves, my son-he spent the first week with us at home with dad, today was his first day of camp and when I showed up to pick him up, I was told he hated it and couldn't wait to go home (although when he was home he was bored all day) so...yes, I totally hear where you're coming from!!
Hang in there, its only just begun!!!!

Wow. Only June 17th and already bored? That's funny. One thing I've always done that seems to help is have a schedule for the kids; Kendall just firmed it up last night. It's really mostly a chore list (for them, as well as me). It just seems to provide a structure that they crave in the summer. It also includes some time keeping the academic skills limber (they have to write, read, or otherwise stretch their brains.) That, plus letting them sleep in, takes up half the day, heehee. Good luck!
I hear ya sista!!! ...and I only have one!!
I'm on the other side of weather. It's so damn hot I'm seriously melting!!! What I would give for some rain that you can run around in or clouds!?!?!
Why don't you come down for a visit?!? I have a 5 year old who loves people...any kind! :oP
Although he is in a bit of a 'not liking girls' phase.
Love the last line - exactly!
Welcome back T! I bet you are kicking yourself now with the 3rd day in a row of 90 plus degree temps! St. Louis is in an official heat wave!! Blah!
