Wordy Wednesday

Allergic reactions suck. Bigtime. Obviously, Olivia's reaction was several years ago when she was a cutie patootie 15 month old, and mine was last week when I was not such a cutie patootie 35 year old.
My body freaked out after my weekly allergy injections where I always get 4 shots. After one asthma attack, a breathing treatment, a shot of epinephrine, and one dose of benedryl later, I was freed from my Dr.'s office and then about an hour later my body decided it wasn't quite done being pumped full of drugs, and was covered in hives and my eyes started to swell shut. Let me just say GOOD TIMES. A good friend of mine took pity on me and drove me to urgent care where I got another shot of epinephrine, and was told to dose myself up on benedryl every 4 hours until the hives were gone and the swelling went away.
Let me tell you, I'm really looking forward to my shots this week!

Jeeze woman! That's serious. I feel for you and hope my little redhead doesn't have issues like that when he's older, although I'm afraid its inevitable.
Oh my.
I am speechless...and so sorry.
Anything I can do? I am just a phone call away.
Get well soon-that is scary!
oh my - that does not look good.
Hope you are feeling better
Oh you poor thing...thats awful! My oldest always asks me "mom, am I allergic to anything" and I say "NO" and she's all sad because she has nothing...I'm trying to convince her its not fun, but I'm having no luck.
Sorry you were not having a good day!! :(

Yikes! I can't believe you let someone take a pic! I had hives last week and it was horrible, but it doesn't compare to what you went through. HOpe you are feeling better!
Oh my! I hope you feel better with a quickness!
The one time I swelled up like that I almost OD'd on Benadryl. I think you might remember me writing about it.
Yikes!!! Sure hope today is a better day.
Oh my word! I hope you're better today! Ah, allergies...I just love this time of year!
That looks terribly uncomfortable! And your experience sounds scary. Don't do that again, 'kay?
Oh My Stars!! Isn't it insane how you can just suddenly become allergic to something. Or un-allergic!?!? My husband (supposedly) was allergic to cheese all his life...as in adrenaline shot to the heart if he ate it. Little by little I found that he was not allergic to it (yes, I tested things without telling him). So, that among many other allergies are now gone so really I think that he was just allergic to his mother! ;)
Wow! You poor thing. I hate when those things happen - who has time for that. But of course it makes for a great post and lots of fun comments.
Oh sweets. That SUCKS! Am so sorry to hear this. Call me if you ever need someone to bring you to Urgent care or something, k?
Holy smokes...those reactions are pretty nasty! So sorry you had to go through that.
OUCH! How very yucky to have to go through! Luckily, I have no allergies, knock on wood. Hope you are all better by now!
Wow! That doesn't look like much fun. Hope this week goes better.
Dang, hope ya'll get to feeling better!
