The Face in the Mirror....Give Away!

The other day while we were out, I had to take Olivia to the ladies room.

Once she was in the bathroom stall she promptly slammed the door on my face, and locked it informing me that she did not need my help.

Then ever so kindly suggested,

"Mommy, why don't you go look at your face in the mirror or something, you know, just in case you might need too."

Is there something on my face or in my teeth?

No mommy...just look and you'll see!

I couldn't NOT look and all I saw was me.....long straight hair, tired eyes, pale skin with several zits. Was she just trying to get me to leave her alone, or does she think I look at myself too much (which I doubt) or was she just playing a joke on me? I guess I'll never know....but I started obsessing over my breakouts once again.

I'm 35 for crying out loud and have more zits now than I did when I was a teenager! Right now I have a lovely one right between my eyes and another one on my lip-line which makes me look like I have gotten a collagen injection on the top half/one side of my mouth. It looks N-I-C-E.
I'll spare you (and myself the embarrassment) of a picture....just trust me.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

I bought myself the Clinique three-step acne solutions and guess what? I got one for you too!

I know I am NOT the only adult going through this....and I also know that I am not the only one to write about my adult acne. I'm not going to ask you to pimp my blog....I'm going to ask you to pimp YOURS to me!

Search through your archives (I KNOW I have read your woes before or maybe I was just dreaming that I have??) and leave a comment with a link directing me to where you have complained about your zits and receive TWO entries OR you can comment where you commiserate with me and get ONE entry....either way do so before Midnight MARCH 29!!

This is a coincidence because I was just cussing myself in the mirror earlier over this exact same thing. I'll be back with a blog post (and maybe even some photographic evidence) showing you how much I need this and how grateful I would be!

I don't have a story about my zits but I do have one in the exact same two spots you currently do!!!

hum..don't know if I actually complained about my zits here, but I'm off to search for a story...lord knows each month they tend to pop up in the exact same spots..like big red 'not so cindy crawford' beauty marks! :)

Oh geez. I hate the one's on the lips! They are so painful! The only thing worse are the ones near the inside of your nose, or ears.

I tend to get them on my forehead, therefore I have bangs :)

And each one of them is attached to every.single.nerve in my body.

I actually have good skin.
I believe that you either have good skin or you are slim. Again, I have good skin...

I have one on my chin right now. NICE.

Here's my blog post about Mt. Vesuvius. Did I spell that correctly?

You are SO not alone. I actually went to my primary care doc to get some lotion/cream to take care of this but it's not working. when I use it, I break out all over my neck. Right now I want to rip my neck from my head. So, I'll stop using that stuff. Duh.

Ughhh, it's really not fun. We learned that ache was part of the teen years, but nobody prepared us for the 30's ache resurgence! Mine comes up with PMS, worst time in the world to feel icky and look icky!

Don't even get me started on my horrible skin. I've never had fabulous skin, but during this pregnancy it has been crazy. On my jawline by my ears! WTH???

I DO have a post about my crappy skin from a while ago, but I've been searching for it FAR TOO LONG and I can't find it. I was basically bitching about the fact that it is SO WRONG that I am using Oil of Olay and Clearasil at the same time. NO FAIR!
Does that count for 2 entries????

Pick me!!!! :)

I don't have zits, but if you're having a breast implant of Botox giveaway, count me in!

I came home from our vacation last week with FIVE fresh breakouts (not including the ones that were there BEFORE we left.) I'm 32 and it wasn't even "that time of the month." What gives?

I feel as though I totally got screwed over with the whole puberty thing. Still waiting for boobs, still getting zits. The hips are coming in fine, too.

I will say, I don't get them really, really bad any more, other than one or two big ones before my period or if I'm stressed, but I always have little ones--nothing super noticeable, but I'll never have "good" skin. Boo. I think if I had one superficial wish, it would be for perfect skin. Just the other day, I thought to myself that I might just take Puffy's advice and order ProActive.

The only time I mentioned zits on my blog was here:

interesting - I've never blogged about zits before because I've just started getting them recently - and most recently MORE & MORE. - It's crazy I'm 35 and breaking out like I was in high school.
One question - has the treatment been working?

I wonder if it is the MO air? I am 32 and broke out worse then I ever was in HS. Totally crazy!

I love Clinique! Their toners are so amazing. I just switched to a new skincare regimine (my old one became much to costly) so the transition stage has left my skin poor shape! I haven't tried the Clinique acne stuff, but I'm sure it works great. I blogged about my acne woes on my blog: http://stuffstuffstuffmorestuff.blogspot.com/2009/03/entry-about-zits-gross-i-know.html.

Thank you for the great giveaway. Here's to clear skin!

I'm 38 and I didn't have acne until my 30's. WTH? It really sucks. I've used everything pretty much. Its so sad when your 14 year old son says you are zity:( Or your year old ask how you got that boo boo on your face=(
I love clinique..I'll try anything to have clear skin.
Hope I'm a WINNER

My problem is the 'mask of pregnancy' which arrived when pregnant with Parker, and hasn't left since. He'll be 11 in a couple of months. You know, that blotchy semi-brownish marks covering the sides of your face from your cheeks down to your jaw bone. Not to mention the red blotchiness on my cheeks which makes me look like an alcoholic. Hmmm, yeah, lovely..... Maybe I’ll go for the Michael Jackson abrasion techniques......
